Class Descriptions

Ashtanga Yoga Flow:

These classes are guided by the ashtanga series of poses, the instructor will verbally bring students through the series with tactile adjustments as needed. Modifications will be used as needed by the individual.

Mysore class: yes! we now have a Mysore program (Sunrise Yoga):

Mysore is a yoga class where the individual practices the Ashtanga sequence at their own pace and level. An instructor is present in the room to adjust or guide as needed but does not “lead” the class per se.  It usually requires some understanding of the Ashtanga sequence but is not required. We are happy to help beginners get started if you do not know the sequence. This style of yoga allows you to focus more inwardly and let your breath guide you instead of another person.

Gentle Yoga Flow: Calm the mind and body with this gentle yoga flow class where you will be supported by blocks, blankets and bolsters. No yoga experience is necessary.

Beginners: A beginner’s session is 4 to 6 weeks long and offers an introduction to ashtanga including breathing, the bandhas, sun salutations and the primary series standing poses finishing with a closing sequence and savasana.  We believe that Ashtanga Yoga is for everybody and every body.  We will make modifications as needed.

Dates and times for beginner’s sessions vary.  Please see our schedule for our latest offerings.  Please bring a mat, towel and water. We have mats available if you do not have one.

Gentle Restorative Yoga Night: This is a one night only experience.  Join us for an evening of gentle restorative yoga, breathing, aromatherapy, mindfulness, manual adjustments and massage.  The next date will be announced.  Indulge yourself and bring a friend.  Light refreshments are served. Dates vary.

  2. Hi I’m interested in joining a yoga class. I am new to Lewiston. I have been regularly participating in group that meets twice a week for the past 3 months in Walla Walla. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to begin sessions as soon as possible.
